Delighted to announce that I am trying to get on BizSpark from Microsoft to work on a project I’ve been meaning to start for some time now….. more to come in the next few weeks, hopefully.

Will be updating soon. Hold tight.
Can’t recommend ‘In the Loop’ enough; a really funny movie with a real point to make.

Not sure how many people read this blog, if any. I know the numbers have dropped off as I’ve dropped off writing it.
Ok, so if you are still here…. still reading…. still pulling down the RSS in the hope of new entries… here’s a wee treat.
This Thursday sees Kevin Bridges joining us as a guest. Yes, I did say Kevin Bridges.
Did I mention we were 2–4–1 on Thursday?
That is all.
Our show has kinda gone on under the radar of the Glasgow Comedy Festival but that’s not been a problem…….
If you look at the news section of the Comedy Festival website, it mentions a number of acts whose shows SOLD OUT……. So let me take the opportunity here to mention the 74 people we had on our first Saturday and the 64 we had this Thursday!
Four Play : SOLD OUT!
Just a quick reminder that Four Play is back at Bacchus this week – Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Four comedians, two guests, all for a fiver. Credit Crunch Comedy!
Tickets on the door, over the phone ( see above ) or online.
Saw Tommy Mackay last night at Absolute Beginners. He was in excellent form and his song about the Royal Bank of Scotland was very good, as was the fish pun song.
Recommended.
An exceptional first weekend of Four Play at the Magners’ Glasgow International Comedy Festival…… if I say so myself.
I compered all three nights – I will be compering all of the nights now – and it was really interesting to see the different responses and crowd dynamics on each night.
Really looking forward to going again – can’t wait for Thursday. I did an open spot at Absolute Beginners in Edinburgh last night and I really just went for it; the room was quiet and very cosmopolitan – very Edinburgh – but they were responsive if given a push.
Saw Chris Forbes for the second time in the space of three days and he was excellent again – a really good act. Mr Scoular was also in fine form, confidently working a dead room ( at the start of the evening ).
Before I go, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Four Play guests this week:
The guests have really helped the night along – they’ve all performed brilliantly for us – and I look forward to working with them again. For those anoraks amongst you, Andy Learmonth was booked to do the gig after us in the same room so he didn’t do Four Play but he did turn up and he would have augmented the line-up beautifully had he had the opportunity.
A final word of thanks to the awesome Paul Pirie – Dundonian Master of Mirth – who introduced me to the stage on Saturday night. Paul’s solo show at the MGICF is on Friday 27th March at the Buff Club. Paul’s an outstanding performer, a very funny man, and you should go and see him – if you’ve seen Four Play already, of course!
Somehow or other, I’ve ended up doing a lot of the booking for guests at our upcoming Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival show, Four Play.
I think we’ve really come up with a great format for our shows – We have 2 * 15 minute slots and 1 * 20 minute slot for ourselves; one of us doing the compering for the evening. In addition to us, we’ve sought the very best in guests to join us on the various nights.
So, the running order just now is as follows ( all line-ups subject to change ):
A great line-up of guests, a really strong set of additions to the Four Play roster.
And, Germaine Greer take note, a sizeable number of funny women in that line-up as well.
More to come.
